ZAMBOANGA CITY

The Philippine Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) signals the pilot COVID-19 vaccination for minors starting October 15, Palace official said.

In a press briefing on Thursday, Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said the government will pilot the inoculation for minors aged 12 to 17 who have comorbidities.

The vaccination roll out for minors will be determined by the National Vaccination Operations Center, he said.

The vaccination, Roque added, will be conducted under “phased approach,” following the Department of Health (DOH) guidelines for priority groups under A3.

He said the vaccines to be used in the vaccination are Pfizer and Moderna, the only vaccines authorized by the government for minors.

The Food and Drug Administration has approved the emergency use authorization of Pfizer and Moderna for minors last month. (John Mahusay)
