Cotabato City, Philippines: Anti-narcotics operatives have seized some P1.01-million worth of crystal meths, popularly known as shabu, in separate stings in Maguindanao and Sulu provinces, officials said.
Brig. Gen. John Guyguyon, director of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region, said a suspected dealer, Amilodin Guima Akmad, fell in a sting on Monday, September 26 in Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao.
The operatives seized from the suspect some P680,000 worth of shabu, Guyguyon said.
Guyguyon said three of Akmad’s companions ran away when they sensed they were dealing with non-uniformed police agents led by Major Esmael Madin of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO-BAR).
In Sulu, anti-narcotics agents seized P340,000 worth of shabu from a woman entrapped in the secluded Kalingalan Caluang town in Sulu over the weekend.
Rogelito Daculla, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-BARMM), said on Tuesday Siraina Ummal Ahajan is now detained.
Daculla said she was entrapped in Sitio Campagayo in Barangay Masjid Pinjungan, Kalingalan Caluang at past 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 24.
