Los Angeles, CA – Fresh off her win in the prestigious John Lennon Songwriting Contest (World Category) with the Cebuano-English song, Alindahaw, Fil-Am songwriter Alfa has released her pop anthem, Be My Worst on Friday, June 4.

The upbeat song showcases a fresh sound that is lush with violins, bombastic drums, and layers of electric guitars. It builds tension and joy in a message about being authentic and real with a special someone.

A lyric video is slated for release on Friday, June 11.

In other news, Alfa has received the Cebu Siloy Award for Breakthrough Vocal Performance (Female) for Alindahaw.

The Fil-Am songwriter is in the running for the John Lennon Songwriting Contest’s 2021 ‘Song of the Year.

She will also be part of Icelandic artist Ragnar Kjartansson’s performance installation Romantic Songs of the Patriarchy at the Guggenheim Museum in New York City (July 2-5, 2021).
