COTABATO CITY – Authorities seized P3.4-million worth of shabu from two pregnant women in a sting along a busy street here on Thursday morning.
Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) agents arrested the suspects, Elena Minala Daud and Sarah Badawi after selling 500 grams of shabu during a sting in a busy spot along Makakua Street, the city’s commercial hub.
Juvenal Azurin, PDEA regional director for the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), said Thursday Daud and Parok belong to a big drug ring operating in Cotabato City and nearby towns in Maguindanao.
The suspects have to face drug charges, Azurin told reporters.
Personnel of the Cotabato City Police Office provided manpower support in the entrapment of Daud and Badawi.
The arrest of the duo came a day after PDEA-BARMM agents confiscated P6.8 million worth of shabu from spouses Ating and Norhata Pundogar during an entrapment operation in Barangay Matampay in Marawi City.
